Great News!
Florida has seen an almost 60% increase in New Business Startups in 2020. REALLY!

We Got This!
Economists are perplexed. Across the nation there has been a 48% increase in startups in 2020 compared to 2019. And Florida is at a nearly 60% increase over 2019.
Sounds crazy!
But, it is not. This country is such a shining example of the benefits of entrepreneurship. And a vital force for the economy. From the SBA:
Small businesses are the lifeblood of the U.S. economy: they create two-thirds of net new jobs and drive U.S. innovation and competitiveness. A new report shows that they account for 44 percent of U.S. economic activity. This is a significant contribution, however this overall share has declined gradually.
And, as noted by the Economist:
"... the entrepreneurship boom bodes well for the future. A recovery with lots of startups tends to be more jobs-rich than one without, since young firms typically seek to expand, hiring new staff. Talk to the owners of new enterprises, and it is hard not to feel optimistic about America’s economic prospects."
We are going to be OK. Different, but OK.
